St. Cynog’s Church

A Pilgrim Church with three or four services during the year, however burials no longer take place in the churchyard. There is a register of the graves held in the church or follow the link below.

An ancient church located down a single-track country lane just outside the centre of the village. 

Weddings and funerals can be organised directly with the church The Shrine Church of Saint Melangell. Funeral directors will liaise with the clerk regarding burial arrangements or if you would like further information, please contact the clerk

Penuel Chapel Burial Ground

In 2025, Penuel Chapel Burial Ground was given to Llangynog Community Council to maintain. Funeral directors will liaise with the clerk regarding burial arrangements or if you would like further information, please contact the clerk
